Shipping Policy

This Shipping Policy applies to trade customers only and supplements the Terms & Conditions of Sale of Vale Mill (Rochdale) Limited.

If there is any inconsistency between this Shipping Policy and the Terms & Conditions of Sale, the Terms & Conditions of Sale shall prevail.

Delivery arrangements

Delivery of goods will be made to the delivery address specified at the time of order acceptance.

Delivery dates provided are estimates only and time for delivery is not of the essence unless expressly agreed in writing.

Vale Mill (Rochdale) Limited reserves the right to deliver goods in advance of any estimated delivery date.

Method of delivery

Goods may be delivered by parcel carrier, pallet network or other appropriate delivery method depending on the size, weight and nature of the order.

Orders may be delivered in instalments. Each delivery shall constitute a separate delivery and failure or delay in respect of one instalment shall not entitle the buyer to cancel the remainder of the order.

Access and delivery conditions

The buyer is responsible for ensuring that the delivery location is accessible and suitable for the delivery method used.

If delivery cannot be completed due to restricted access, incorrect delivery information, absence of authorised personnel or any other reason attributable to the buyer, additional charges may apply and delivery may be rescheduled at the buyer’s cost.

Risk and delivery

Risk in the goods passes to the buyer on delivery in accordance with the Terms & Conditions of Sale.

The buyer is responsible for inspecting goods on delivery and reporting any damage, defects or shortages in accordance with the Returns & Refund Policy and the Terms & Conditions of Sale.

Delays and force majeure

Vale Mill (Rochdale) Limited shall not be liable for delays in delivery caused by circumstances beyond its reasonable control, including but not limited to carrier delays, adverse weather conditions, industrial action or other force majeure events.

Such delays shall not entitle the buyer to cancel the order or refuse delivery.

Collection

Where goods are made available for collection, the buyer is responsible for collecting the goods within a reasonable time following notification that the goods are ready.

Failure to collect goods may result in storage charges and risk passing to the buyer in accordance with the Terms & Conditions of Sale.

This Shipping Policy should be read in conjunction with the Terms & Conditions of Sale of Vale Mill (Rochdale) Limited, which govern all trade sales and set out the full legal position in relation to delivery, risk and liability.
